Novas conquistas… direitos que faltam…

Resumo

No ano em que se comemoram os 25 anos da Convenção sobre os Direitos da Criança importa trazer à reflexão este documento amplamente sufragado, mas que hoje se revela incompleto e na sua concretização é paradoxal e insatisfatória. Contudo, desafia a relação entre a ‚law in books‛ e a ‚law in action‛ (Santos, 1993), entre a norma universal e a diversidade cultural, bem como entre a vontade política e tradução prática das políticas públicas. Uma vez que o tema é a tecnologia e a criatividade trazer também, para a reflexão os direitos emergentes que as tecnologias reclamam, as alterações que as mesmas tecnologias vieram provocar na vida das crianças, as repercussões no relacionamento entre pares e inter-geracional, as novas dinâmicas das práticas sociais, a emergência de um novo léxico que advém da utilização destes recursos a par da visibilidade que os números e as estatísticas dão às crianças noutras partes do mundo.

In the year that we are celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child it’s important to make a reflection on this widely ratified international treaty, but that nowadays is revealing incomplete and its implementation is paradoxical and unsatisfactory . However, challenges the relationship between ‚law in books‛ and ‚law in action‛ (Santos, 1993), between the universal norm and cultural diversity, as well as between political will and public policy practices. Once the theme is technology and creativity it also matters bring to reflection the emerging rights that technologies require, the changes that these technologies have raised in children's lives, the impact on the relationship between peers and intergenerational, the new dynamics of social practices, the emergence of a new lexicon that comes from the use of these resources along with the visibility that the numbers and statistics give to children around the world.
Finally we will present the research project, the demographic and psychometric data collected by the team to date and present illustrative clinical cases of UPI.
