Nós na rede. Pré-adolescentes e socialização digital

Resumo

Em Portugal, 80% das crianças de 11-12 anos declaram ter pelo menos um perfil numa rede social, quase sempre o Facebook. A partir destes resultados nacionais do projeto Net Children Go Mobile (http://netchildrengomobile.fcsh.unl.pt) recolhidos em 2014, e tendo presente literatura sobre cultura de pares e sobre mediação familiar, esta comunicação discute os modos como estes internautas entraram e estão nas redes, como manejam a sua apresentação entre o público e o privado, e o que fazem lá.

In Portugal, 80% of children aged 11-12 report having at least one profile on a social network, often Facebook. From these national results part of the Net Project Children Go Mobile (http://netchildrengomobile.fcsh.unl.pt) collected in 2014, and bearing in mind the literature on peer culture and on family mediation, this paper discusses the ways in which these internet users entered and are in the networks, how they handle their presentation between the public and the private, and what they do there.
